Our Story
A journey from 1850 to today
Built by Hand. Restored with Love.
The chalet was originally built in 1850 — a traditional Lebanese stone house, known locally as a bayt arabiyy. For generations, it stood witness to mountain seasons, family gatherings, and the quiet passage of time.
When we discovered it, the walls still held their strength, the arches their grace. We saw not decay, but potential — a chance to honor the past while creating something new. Every stone was cleaned and sealed. The wooden beam ceilings were restored. Original doorways were preserved.
Modern comforts were woven in with care: a wood-burning fireplace for cold mountain nights, designer furniture for effortless relaxation, contemporary entertainment for those who want it, and silence for those who seek escape.
Today, Chalet 1850 stands as a luxury glamping destination — where heritage and hospitality come together in perfect harmony.
